Shangrila Scuba Divers is a PADI dive centre located at The Bali Seascape Beach Club and at our Dive Shop on the High Street in Candi Dasa.

The business is operated by Graeme Birch who is a PADI Dive Instructor. Graeme first learned to dive in the USA in 1996 completing an open water course. He immediately developed a passion for diving and since then has regularly dived and trained as a Dive Master and more recently to an Instructor. Graeme hales from England but has lived for 10 years in Melbourne and in Perth Australia. Since coming to Bali Graeme has developed a love for our local turtles and is working with his staff and the local people to promote awareness and help save these beautiful creatures.

The dive centre has expanded to 5 staff including a PADI Dive Master and Dive Guide and trained divers to assist with the equipment and dive preparation. As professional scuba divers we are very concerned regarding safety of our customers and have invested heavily in new equipment. We have recently purchased our own compressor to avoid reliance on contract filling where we have no control of air quality. We can therefore ensure our divers of good clean air in our dive tanks. We also realise the importance of regular air filter changes and servicing of the equipment.

We have recently introduced major new purchases of Scuba Pro dive equipment including wetsuits, regulators, and tanks. All our equipment is either new or in almost new condition and very well maintained. Scuba Pro is a world leader in dive equipment and we are proud to be outfitted with this high quality gear.

We are also Agents for Scuba Pro sales. During your holiday you may look in our dive shop to review our stock and get any advise on equipment and purchases.

We also have our own brand new fully equipped 9m dive boat ‘Tiggy’ which is proving very popular with our divers. Tiggy has two 25HP motors for additional power and safety and is fully equiped with safety equipment plus toilet facilities.

Graeme's wife Elaine comes from Singapore and is kept very busy dealing with all dive enquiries and bookings. She is an enthusiastic diver and regularly assists with the diving. Many of our diving guests come from Singapore and find Elaine is an invaluable help in general communication especially in the Chinese languages of Singapore.

Diving is great fun. We always put safety first to ensure our guests have not only wonderful diving but are in safe hands. Detailed knowledge of all of our dive sites ensures our guests see all the wonders of our underwater world.

We always train in small groups as we believe this is the best way to learn and progress in our wonderfull sport.
